The A to Z of...

Thanks to everyone who offered ideas on what topic I should cover for this year's Blogging From A to Z Challenge—I've landed on a theme I'm excited about.

But before I reveal it, I wanted to remind you all about what the challenge is about. Of course, you probably know that you'll write 26 blogs—one for each letter of the alphabet. And those blogs get posted daily, except on Sundays. So this year, we'll kick off on April 1—with my "A" post—and blog until Saturday. Sunday is a break, and then we pick up Monday, April 8, with the letter "G." It's harder than you think...and yes, that's part of the challenge.

Another part is that it forces you to write every day (except Sundays)—which is important if you want to be a writer (like I do), but also just to keep those skills flexed. And, if you're not into writing, you can definitely read posts from all of the 2,000+ participating bloggers. (Find the list of them here.)

I think you're going to love my theme—THE A TO Z OF THINGS THAT GROW IN ALBERTA.

With Spring right around the corner, my mom and I are always looking for signs of "growth"—her pussy willow tree has already started to show some fresh buds! (I think it might be a while before her tulips break ground, though.)

I hope you join along with me for the 10th anniversary of the Blogging From A to Z Challenge. It's my sixth year taking part, and I can't wait to get started on April 1. No joke.

Gotta jet! See you next week with a fun letter "A."
