Tomorrow, my Mom is taking me to get a fishing license and on Sunday morning, Dad, Grandpa and I are going fishing! It will be the first time we’ve all fished together and I couldn't be more excited.
I’ve been digging through mom’s garden soil for worms (you wouldn’t believe how many of those slimy things are in a shovel’s worth of good soil!) and I already have a big jar of them, perfect for trout fishing. My Mom dug out the rods from the garage and I’ve checked we have enough fishing line and hooks. I’m even going to pack a few snacks.
Later, Mom and Grandma are making a special Father’s Day dinner. Dad said he didn’t want presents — he just wanted some quality family time. This is perfect!
Er-r-r, except for one tiny issue. We have to start REALLY early because Grandpa has a full day of chores on the farm. Looks like I’ll be taking an afternoon nap!
Gotta jet! Have a GREAT Father’s Day.
