Not personally, of course! But March is Women’s History Month—as well as Nutrition Month—and since I’m learning all about “Canada” this year, I’ve spent a little time researching famous Canadian women. You won’t believe what I’ve dug up!

Like, did you know that famous painter Emily Carr has often been described as Canada’s Van Gogh? Or that Canadian writer Mary Shadd Cary was the first black woman newspaper editor in North America? I didn’t know this till I embarked on this ‘Know Canada Journey’!

Which is why I’ve created this little pop quiz. (Don’t worry if tests make you nervous, the answers are at the bottom of the post. But please, RESIST the urge to scroll down. Where’s the fun in that?)

a) Jennie trout
b) Avril Lavigne
c) Roberta Bodnar

Okay, NOW you can scroll down to see how many of the questions you answered correctly. Throughout the month, I’ll be sharing more about famous Canadian woman from history on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram—it’s all part of my continued celebration of Canada’s 150th birthday!

Gotta jet! Have a great weekend.
