I get it,
biodiesel isn’t exactly on your mind, even though today is Biodiesel Day. But my
grandpa is a canola farmer, and so it’s something I think about —especially
since my grandpa’s friend Kevin Therres designed a Jet Engine RACE CAR that
uses 100% canola biodiesel. (I got to see it race!)
Biodiesel is an
environmentally-friendly fuel for diesel trucks, cars, buses and tractors, made
from a variety of crops—like soy and, of course, canola. But, did you know,
biodiesel isn’t just an alternative
fuel source for vehicles? At Sustainival, a super fun carnival in Fort
McMurray, AB, all of the rides run on canola biodiesel. Cool,
right?
